Small Talk Six

Today is Saturday and time for Small Talk Six sponsored by Momdot.

Today's topic is six thing you will miss or not miss about summer.

I think this one is going to be pretty easy for me as summer is my favorite season by far and I'm always sad to see it go for another year. It always seems like it's just started and then it's over.

1- I will miss the lazy days of not having to drive my daughter everywhere. During the year we have ballet and voice and perhaps choir next year so it keeps me very busy. When summer comes we get a vacation from all of this.

2- I will miss all the long days. We go out for a walk each evening after dinner and it's so nice being able to do it in the sunshine instead of the dreary dark that occurs during winter.

3- I will miss the sun. I live on the coast and we're pretty much guaranteed rain for every season except summer.

4- I will miss the fresh fruit. We grow a lot of fresh fruit locally and I love it. During winter it's so expensive that we very rarely indulge.

5- I will miss having my daughter home from school and not having to worry about all the extra things that come with having a child in school.

And finally.....

6- I will miss my summer vacations from work. I love my job but also love the lazy days of summer when I can take days off. Case in point I'm loving my 2 weeks off and not looking forward to my first day back at work on the 31st.
