Saturday's Small Talk Six

Small Talk Six is a weekly meme sponsored by Momdot every Saturday where you have to list six words, phrases, paragraphs, etc on a particular topic.

This week's topic is six jobs you would think it would be really cool to have.

Now this is a really fun topic for me as I'm always thinking about what I'd like to do when I retire (even though that's a long ways off !)

1- Freelance writer. I wouldn't want the pressure of daily deadlines but it would be nice to submit stories on an adhoc basis. Either that or a weekly column similar in genre to this blog would be cool.

2- Photographer. I love photographing my daughter in natural settings so I think it would be fun to follow other kids around and do the same thing. I don't like posed photographs - too much pressure but just natural poses would be fun.

3- Professional musician. As a teenager I loved playing the piano and the trumpet - especially the trumpet and it would be fun to be part of a band and do that again.

4- Kids art teacher. This is actually something I'm seriously considering doing next summer. I've already purchased the business insurance and have someone to work with me and have my business license so who knows.

5- Math tutor. I find so many kids - especially girls are scared of math and I'd love to be able to help them overcome their fears as knowing about math and the sciences can open so many doors.

6- My current job. Quite seriously I do whine about my job from time to time but for right now it truly is the best job in the world and gee how many of you can say that ! (Too bad my boss doesn't read my blog !)
